Wall of Hope

A little hope can go a long way. As a community, we’re sharing messages of hope that you can read whenever times get tough.

Please note these messages are here to help, but we know that hope is a lot more complex than an encouraging message.

Hope isn’t a cure-all. And no one should have to face a mental health struggle alone.

These messages are reminders that difficult moments can change, support is available, and every person deserves to be treated with compassion and dignity. Sometimes finding hope takes time. Sometimes it takes professional treatment, medication, therapy, or ongoing support. Sometimes it takes all of those things.

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. If you or someone you love is experiencing a mental health crisis, please call or text 988.

v

Everything has an end.

v

Give yourself credit for your incredible strength.

v

It is brave to admit when you are tired. Put down the weight you have been carrying, even if it is just for today.

v

I am reminded each day of the power of breath in us; the ability to reset just by indulging in deep breathing. Helps me stay sane!

v

Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.

v

“The way I see it, if something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening.”

v

“There's no lemon so sour that you can't make something resembling lemonade.”

v

If you keep looking behind you, you'll never see what you have accomplished.

v

Keep your light shining, be a light for someone who needs it!

v

If you can be anything in life.... be a turtle.. They never go backwards, always move forward and go with the flow.

v

One of the bravest things you can do right now is not let one unstable season make you lose faith in your whole life.

v

Love is Stronger than death <3

v

Breathe. Your anxiety is lying to you. Everyone doesn't hate you, and you're not a burden. You're loved. Things will get better.

v

Your rearview mirror is smaller than your windshield for a reason. What lies ahead of you is so much more important than what lies behind you. Keep going! Enjoy the journey and take in the view.

v

Brighter days are ahead.

v

When the night feels too long and the weight feels too heavy, please remember that you do not have to carry it alone.

v

It is completely okay if all you did today was survive. Healing isn't a straight line, and you are allowed to rest.

v

You matter, and your story isn't over yet.

v

We don’t always get to see the impact we are striving to make in our community. The difference you are making is like glitter: when it is first tossed around, you can see it everywhere. Over time, it may become harder to notice, but that doesn’t mean it has disappeared.

No matter what, you are that piece of glitter that brings a smile, hope, and comfort to someone who needs a little sparkle in their world that day.

Never underestimate the difference you make.

In the words of Samwise Gamgee/J.R Tolkien: "It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end by happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it'll shine out the clearer. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something. That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."

What would you want someone having a hard day to hear?

Share a message of hope to our wall. Let us know how you find hope in hard times.

There isn’t just one way to find hope.

Maybe it’s a person. A place. A song. A pet. A memory. A reason to keep going. A treatment that helped. A tiny thing that made today a little easier.
