Living in the community means having a lifestyle tailored to your interests. At RACSB, we provide this lifestyle for adults with a developmental disability. Our residential programs offer an array of services to fit a wide range of needs.

Supervised Apartments:

We offer staff support at two apartment complexes in the Fredericksburg area. This program is ideal for adults with a developmental disability who can attain some level of independence but who need supervision and assistance with daily living skills.

Group Homes:

We run 10 group homes in the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford. Our well-maintained homes are in neighborhoods throughout the area. Group home residents appreciate our attention to detail and our caring staff.

Individuals who live in our 24-hour supervised group homes receive total care assistance, medication administration, healthy meals and snacks, recreation, trips, personalized care, and the chance to thrive in their community. All of our homes are fully accessible and include surveillance cameras in common living areas.

Intermediate Care Facilities:

At RACSB, we believe every individual can live in the community. For decades, Virginia offered state institutions to care for individuals with an acute a severe medical or behavioral needs. Officials now agree that individuals with a disability ies belong in the community, but some required more care than could be provided in a traditional group home.  As a result, we developed Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF).

We are proud to offer three ICF locations, which provide high levels of services in a home-like setting. Like all of our group homes, these facilities are in neighborhoods throughout the area. However, these homes include more safety features designed for individuals with profound needs. Each ICF also offers a higher staff-to-individual ratio, medical care, and specialized equipment.

Each individual receives customized care developed by an interdisciplinary team that includes direct support staff and medical professionals. They determine the necessary support and treatment that the individual needs and makes sure the  individual is as actively involved in the decision making process as possible.
