Since 2004
showcasing recovery
For people with mental illness, recovery is a very personal experience. Art allows individuals to capture what recovery means to them, and each year the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board showcases these visions of healing during its Art of Recovery exhibit.
We’re now accepting submissions for the 2026 exhibit.
This exhibition is open to artists with mental illness.
There is no fee to enter or limit to the number of entries. Pieces must be original and available for sale.
All work must be original 2d pieces. Textiles will be considered if they are able to be hung on a wall. Artists are encouraged to submit high-quality photographs for consideration.
Submissions are due March 16.
The exhibit will run May 1-31 at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Headquarters in Fredericksburg and will kickoff with a celebratory reception on May 1 from 5-9 p.m.
