Rappahannock Area Community Services Board has partnered with the Virginia Department of Health to make naloxone available to lay rescuers to reverse opioid overdoses. Opioids include licit medications like hydrocodone and oxycodone, in addition to illicit drugs like heroin.
This harm reduction method offers a 10-minute training on how to use naloxone.
In continued partnership with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, the rapid training and Naloxone dispensing will take place the first Thursday of the month from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mall Substation.
Find more details on naloxone in our Guide to Naloxone or on the Save1Life website.
